Teaching style

I do my best to keep things hands on and exciting! I do both guided math and guided reading, so we are constantly using centers to learn new material as well as spiral our curriculum.

Awards & shining teacher moments

None...yet!

My own education history

I am a graduate of Indiana University. I had the opportunity to complete their Cultural Immersion Program, and was able to spend half of my student teaching in Oxfordshire, England! Of course, the best teacher has been time. I have learned so much in my six years of teaching from my students, my colleagues, and from reflecting on myself. I can't wait to see what the next thirty years teach me!

Additional biographical information

I loved school as a child. I loved learning. I loved becoming a confident reader. I loved having my curiosity stoked. This is my aim for my students. I want to help create eager, confident learners. Every day I try to show my class that learning is exciting and that learning can take you anywhere you want to go!
