Many of my students haven't traveled very many places outside of our state, so I use this to get students thinking about other places that they have seen. This is a worksheet that I use for guided notes to review 'living things' for my 4th-6th Grade students, and to discuss the characteristics of things like fungi and bacteria. The images help students to come up with ideas when stuck, but they also help the line allowing them to add a complete thought in a sentence. This is a good transition for students ready to move past just using a word bank or circling living things on a sheet. You could also use this as a test to check for understanding.

Biome Fantasy World Narrative Story Handouts
