This product includes a graphic organizer that allows the students to identify the problem of the story, "porpoise in peril," and then find the sufficient evidence required to prove that their conclusion to the problem is correct. One document is the original, and the 2nd copy is a modified version to be used with students requiring SPED services.
This is an end of text test for Anatomy of a Volcanic Eruption within the ReadyGen program. It includes multiple choice, open ended, and short response questions.
Stereotyping and bullying have become a major problem in our society. I have taken a creative approach in dealing with this by integrating the topic into a creative writing assignment that satisfies the common core standard of argumentative/persuasive writing. Included is a fun "Wreck it Ralph" writing paper for final drafts.
-Students can start the lesson off by watching the movie trailer of "Wreck it Ralph" on you tube and discuss the dilemmas at hand.

This is a mini web quest I created for my 3rd grade students to use near the end of a unit on rocks. They all loved it!

Fun behavior management tool! Students keep track of their positive behavior by earning the chance to pull numbers for their bingo boards. When they achieve bingo, they can turn their bingo sheet in for class coupons, prizes, etc. Instructions are included. There are 4 different bingo boards with alternating numbers. Very versatile and can be used for anything else you can think of!
Math Center Activity: Students use their birthdays in order to write numbers in word, expanded, and standard form.

This is a TDA for when students have finished reading Porpoise in Peril. The TDA focuses on characters actions, thoughts, and the events within the story progressing the plot of the text.
This is an open ended response that I often use as a constructed response. There are two versions included, one that is is SPED friendly that provides more guidance and one for students on level. I had a particularly difficult class one of my years of teaching and out of necessity, created this little document. Some students were consuming all of my guided reading time with their undesirable behaviors.
