About the store
I have spent the majority of my career as a Science Resource Specialist. After graduating, I started my teaching career as a middle school, math and science teacher. I taught one year as a self contained classroom teacher. I left middle school after two years. I now teach all science disciplines (with integrated math) for upper elementary and middle school grades. I have traveled with students to Florida three times to experience science and math in a real setting. In addition to teaching students, I serve as a Support Provider for BTSA and do many staff development trainings.

Teaching style

My passion is hands-on learning. I love the move toward 21st Century Learning through Common Core and NGSS. I am constantly striving to create lessons and learning experiences where the learning in developmentally appropriate, yet in the hands of the students. That is why I use GEEKS as my store name.
