This product includes 15 matches between equations and models using multiplication and division with decimals. Equations include decimals X decimals, whole numbers X decimals, and decimals divided by whole numbers along with their corresponding model. Equations were intentionally chosen so that students HAVE to know the difference in order to answer. This product is intended to help students identify the similarities and differences between multiplication and division models with decimals.
This product is intended to increase math academic vocabulary. It is designed to take a couple of minutes a day and is separated into days so that the word is explained, described, discussed, and worked out. This can be used on daily announcements because the words are specifically designed to cover multiple (sometimes all) grade levels. Day 1 & 2- Descriptions, & Real World examples Day 3- Discussion questions (open ended) Day 4- Multiple Choice Word Problem Word of the week Files: PDF fi
This activity is extremely rigorous, relevant, and engaging. Students will design their own game room. Their game room has to have the area of 60. There are multiple ways to get that area, so students must use the additive property of area to combine the area of rectangles to see which ones fit together to make a total area of 60.
This game is fun, engaging, and interactive. Students will divide 4 digit dividends with 2 digit divisors and locate their answer on the game board. Once they get three squares in a row, they win! Great for math stations/ centers and cooperative learning.
Students will be able to design a carnival layout using different booth options. Each booth has a different area, so they will have to decide where they want to place each booth. This activity uses knowledge of both multiplication and division concepts.
This activity will allow students to understand the difference between the multiplication properties including the associative property, commutative property, distributive property, and partial products. Students will be able to identify and sort number sentences into the different properties. There is also a page for higher achieving students that includes boxes over numbers so that they can fill in the correct number according to the correct property.
Great for provoking higher order thinkin

In this product, you will receive 72 total cards ( 9 pairs for volume/capacity, 9 pairs for weight/mass, 9 pairs for time, and 9 pairs for length). In each category, there are one step conversions, as well as at least one that is a two step conversion.
There are multiple uses for this product-
- Could be printed in black and white and have students sort units for volume/capacity, weight/mass, time, and length based on the units of measurement.
- Could be used for memory (flip all cards face
In this product, you will receive 24 models (12 hundredths, 12 tenths models). The cards are split by color and each contain a shape. Therefore, you can do activities based on color or based on shape. Answer keys are included for both. If you don’t have a color printer, print out and copy on colored paper.
There are many uses for this activity. You can use it to work on writing decimals, comparing two decimals, or ordering decimals.
Enjoy! :)
This game helps students with rounding and adding. It can be used in stations or partner groups. I left the amount of numbers blank so that you could write in the number of place values that you wanted them to roll- more room for differentiation! :)
In this product, you will receive 24 cards aimed to solidify understanding of zeros with decimals. You will receive 4 answer sheets/activities for students to complete so you can choose what best fits your class. Cards: - 6 cards from standard form to standard form - 6 cards from word form to word form - 6 cards from standard form to word form and vice versa - 6 cards from model form to standard form and vice versa Answer Sheets/Activities: - Does the zero change the value of the decimal? yes
In this product, you will receive 12 pages of expanded notation numbers that can be cut out and easily manipulated. The place values included are:
- hundred thousands
- ten thousands
- thousands
- hundreds
- tens
- ones
- tenths (both decimal form and fraction form)
- hundredths (both decimal form and fraction form)
- thousandths (both decimal form and fraction form)
This activity would be great for stations or whole group.
Because of the different place values, you can easily differentiate
Students will begin to read word problems more carefully and think more in depth for each problem.
This warm up template takes time to perfect. Students will be frustrated and it will take a long time, but if you stick with it, the results are amazing! Students will start to think more critically and it will become easier and easier as the year goes on.
You can manipulate each day’s number or question to fit the standard you are working on. Also, you can use this to spiral revie
This product was made to help students understand where mixed numbers fall on a number line. It is a step by step process of what students should be thinking when determining where mixed numbers are on the number line.
In this product, you will receive 25 mixed number cards (on one page with denominators of 3,6, 4, and 8), a number line page (5- 29 on one page), and a mixed number on a number line answer sheet with step by step instructions for students.
Differentiation:

These multiplication problems will get your students thinking! They are multiple step problems including multiplication with addition and multiplication with subtraction. This can be used in stations or independently. It would be a fun way to do some test prep if students need help with multiple step problems.
In this product, you will receive 24 cards with values written from greatest to least, least to greatest, or in no order. The values go out to the tenths and hundredths places. You will also receive answer sheets for students and an answer key.
Students might see how many numbers there are, and use that to determine the order that they should place the values rather than looking at what place those digits are in to determine value. With this activity, those misconceptions will become extremel
Challenge your students... make them think in a different way! These are perfect for early finishers and perfect to maximize every instructional minute (if you have a couple of minutes to fill and still want students completely engaged... this is your product)!

In this product, you will receive 16 task cards, a polygon page with 8 different polygons, a recording page, and an answer key. They polygons include 5 rectangles (2 of which students have to count the square units to get the length and width) and 3 non-overlapping rectangles. Each task card asks students to use the polygon page to find the difference in perimeters, combined perimeters, difference in areas, or combined areas of the polygons asked for. This product is intended to have students pa
These puzzles evoke critical thinking and problem solving in all students! In this product, you will receive 16 different puzzles.
Students will use addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to complete the puzzles. These can be used after students have mastered the operations or for an early finishers activity.

In this product, you will receive 24 cards (1 challenge card and 1 question card) with number comparisons, student answer sheets, and an answer key.
Some number statements true and some are false. Students can MAKE the statement true by inputting a decimal into the correct place (the decimal decides how many wholes the number has).
This critical thinking and interactive activity is designed to get students to understand that when they see a decimal, it stops the whole number.
