This is my 17th year to be teaching Math. I first taught in a Junior high setting where I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. For the last 15 years I have been teaching Geometry and Algebra 1. I have my Texas Certification in 8-12 math.
DESCRIPTION:
This is a Bingo game that covers 3 of the basic isometric transformations. The transformations included in this game are translations, reflections, and rotations.
TYPES OF QUESTIONS:
There are problems in here, such as:
translate the point (4,5) using the vector <-3,4>
and
reflect the point (2,3) across the y-axis
I also have many drawings in the game asking about what transformation was applied. The preview picture is an example of one of them.
DIRECTIONS FOR THE GAME

This is a basic lesson plan template. I have included the Word version that can be digitally edited. I have also included the pdf if you just want to print it out and write it in ink. Thank You!!
This is a simple assignment that has students write equations that are parallel and perpendicular to equations that I give to them. Then they are to graph both of the equations on the graph that is beside them. 4 parallel lines and 4 perpendicular lines. This is about a 20-25 minute assignment.
This is a simple practice sheet to allow students to find a quadratic equation from a set of data points. Then it asks them to find output values from a set of given input values. I have included the pdf version of this along with the publisher version. I have also included a key. Thank You!
Many students have a difficult time identifying the bases when dealing with 3-D shapes. This lesson is designed to help them do that.
An activity is included as a warmup exercise which can help as the lesson is taught.
The welding teacher asked me the other day how to construct a cone given a particular height and diameter. I created this to show how to do exactly that.
This is a lesson showing exactly how to make a net for a cone given particular dimensions. All the formulas you need are in this product. I show how the formula for m is derived.
This is a zip file. I have the .pdf version of this file along with the .pub file that I used to create it in case you would like to edit it.
