This two page reference has prefixes on one page and suffixes on another. Students will be able to see the prefix/suffix, meaning and several examples of words using that prefix/suffix. Each page has more than 12 common prefixes and suffixes. Prefixes and Suffixes are color coded within the word to make them easier to identify and analyze.

Most teachers give students exhaustive lists of character traits that may be in alphabetical order or just randomly arranged on the page. This does not help students express what they want to say. In this way students can begin to see how words are related as well as be more precise with their language when writing. These sheets can be used as table group desk references or s individual student references. There is both a full page landscape version as well as a full page with two smaller versions per page. This is useful when students are being asked to speak academically. This could also potentially be used for writing as well.

This document is full of 40+ Academic Words used commonly across 6th, 7th and 8th grade in Middle School. Each landscape reference has two words. Each word is written at the top with alternate word forms below it. Below that is a simple definition and then. synonyms are listed. In the bottom half of the reference sentence frames using each form of the word are given. These sentence frames can be used to help students speak academically or write academically.

This is a 7 page document that gives definitions and picture examples with text demonstrating the differences between mood and tone. Included are word banks for both mood and tone.This collection can be used as a wall or desk reference, or as a personal student reference.

This set of two references helps kids remember and identify types of figurative language.
