The presentation explains the hands of the clock and how to read them. I have a little 'trick' to help them remember. There are also examples for the kids to go through together.

When I teach narratives, I always discuss what characteristics/elements must be included in their story. I made these posters to serve as visuals in the classroom to remind students of what needs to be included. Works for any grade. Enjoy!

I like to recognize students for a job well done, good manners, keeping our classroom clean and other good behavior, not necessarily for good grades. This template allows you to fill in the student's name, what you are awarding them for and your signature. Praise works for any age group.

My students are learning how to write a summary. I made this 'tips' page to help the students remember what is needed in a good summary such as main idea, gist word and using your own words. I've put 3 checklists on a page. Students can tape this to their desk or glue into their language notebook.

I have created this product to help my students understand Stem and Leaf plots/charts that we learn in our Data Management unit. This is meant for a junior math class as a teaching tool for teachers. I like sending a newsletter home to parents after the first day of school to introduce myself and how things run in my class. This is a sample of a September newsletter to parents.

I created this rubric for my grade 3 students. We went over success criteria at the beginning and are reminded to include all 5 parts of a friendly letter and must include 3 items/ideas in the body of the message. In the rubric you will also see for revisions that I use an acronym CUPS (capitals, understanding, punctuation and spelling). There are 2 rubrics per page to save on photocopying. Kids have a difficult time keeping their working environment tidy. How can they produce any neat, clear work? Over the years I have collected little odd and ends (dollar store items) that I give as reward for being tidy. Before the students come back in from recess, they find a note from the tidy fairy and then can choose something from my prize box.
