Easy to read word problems focus the reader on the mathematical process, rather than reading fluency. A 23 page printable book of word problems with reading accessible for CVC (pink series) readers. Word problems consist of CVC words, sight words, common operations phrases, and pictograms. Color-coded for Montessori classrooms: pink for reading level, green for subtraction.

Am I a he or a she? Children are challenged to look at 6 photographic images of children from around the world and apply the word he or she to each picture.

4 sets of photographic images representing words featuring simple consonant blends (st, tr, pl, etc.) and only short vowel sounds, with control cards for spelling. There are six words in each set. These cards are intended to be used with a Moveable Alphabet (not included). The child lays out the picture cards, uses the moveable alphabet to sound out the words phonetically, and then checks and corrects their own spelling using the control cards.
