These super fun summer notebooks for students are packed full of academic activities to complete over break! Hopefully our students won't suffer from the dreaded summer slide if they practice some skills while enjoying the time at home. I developed these notebooks for my special education students in grades K-3 covering skills they learned this year and might need additional practice in before returning to school next year. Multiplication can be tricky! Students could always use some extra practice using multiple strategies to solve. These mix tapes offer a variety of practice options from basic flashcards to competitive games. Students also have a chance to show off their skills making arrays and using repeated addition to solve. This will help reinforce the idea of multiplication. The tape players offered are plain (just for holding cards that have been correctly solved) or options to sort by EVEN and ODD product

Use Macaron Math to practice adding two or three numbers by fulfilling orders in the Macaron Bakery. Students can use the colorful macarons to build their order in the bakery box to visualize the addition problem. Daily Order Summary sheets are included so students can record their orders (addition problem) and totals (answers) for each order they fulfill.

Includes a practice test (first page) and a final test (following page) for each number 0-5 multiplied by 0-12. These can also be used as review after each set of facts are taught. I made them simplistic and the practice similar to the test so that it was easier for students with special needs when testing. Answer Key is included for each practice and test page.

Ships numbered 1-20 to help with identification of the numeral, word form (decoding practice!), ten frames, place value blocks, and tally marks in different fonts. My students love cutting out the port holes and gluing them to the correct ship. The port holes are more difficult to cut out so that has been helping with scissor control skills (fine motor).

Do you need a fun way to have your students practice addition and subtraction skills? Try Math Quest! Race from the forest to the castle completing addition, subtraction, place value, etc. problems. The first one to the castle with all correct answers wins!

Help your students learn to count, one-to-one correspondence, and that the last number they say when counting is the amount of objects there are! Count each object and smash a piece of molding dough on the picture so you don't lose your place! Remember to ask your students how many they counted and what that means. You could even match their dough to the colors of the objects.

I printed these FALL themed pictures and cut them out. Then I glued them onto an index card before laminating. Now they are dry erase and I can change them as I need for the whole season. The answer sheet has the same picture making it easy to find for students to write the answer/word/shape/number - or whatever skill you're using for writing the room!
