The following was created to accompany the NGSS standard: MS-ESS2-2. Construct an explanation based on evidence for how geoscience processes have changed Earth’s surface at varying time and spatial scales.

This project is a fun way to cover famous Kentuckians in your Kentucky Studies class. Students choose a famous Kentuckian, research that person, write a speech on that person, and create a visual representation of that person to present to the class. It is a great way to cover this content in a student centered way, as well as teach students some research and speech giving skills.

This is a simple Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning activity that requires students to think about the time it takes each planet to rotate the sun. It is a great addition to the NGSS Standard: MS-ESS1-3. Analyze and interpret data to determine scale properties of objects in the solar system.
