The following was created to accompany the NGSS standard: MS-ESS2-2. Construct an explanation based on evidence for how geoscience processes have changed Earth’s surface at varying time and spatial scales. It takes real data from earthquakes and has students use their understanding of the earth to apply reasoning behind it. This project is a fun way to cover famous Kentuckians in your Kentucky Studies class. Students choose a famous Kentuckian, research that person, write a speech on that person, and create a visual representation of that person to present to the class. It is a great way to cover this content in a student centered way, as well as teach students some research and speech giving skills.
