I created this rubric for my class to assess their demonstration of knowledge, collaboratively, after a field trip. The way I set it up gives me the ability to not only grade groups of students but to give individual students the credit that is due to them. This prevents students from either dominating or slacking, as they each are accountable for their own demonstration of knowledge and contribution to the presentation. This is part 3 of a unit on division. The pie analogy from the previous two lessons has been converted to a track analogy. With that combined with the Compatible Number theory and real-world examples, teachers are going to see a lot more A-ha moments from their students!
