About the store

Experience

Hi, and welcome to my TpT store! I'm an elementary school librarian and 5th grade paraeducator in Cayucos, California. In the past I've been an art/dance teacher, an English teacher in Bosnia, a children's bookseller, a creative writing teacher, and a substitute.

Teaching style

The majority of my lessons are hands-on, engaging lessons designed for groups of six or fewer students.

My own education history

I grew up in several different states and went to five different elementary/middle schools. Later I taught art and dance in upstate New York and ESL in Bosnia. My undergrad degree is in Linguistics and Slavic Studies (from Boston College) and my CA Multiple Subjects credential is from San Francisco State University.

Additional biographical information

I am working on putting together a reading incentives program for my school library. Since this is the first year we've had a paid librarian (or a budget) in a long time, it will be focused on time spent reading and reading/writing challenges rather than specific books (as in Battle of the Books). It will include scavenger hunts, book reviews, monthly author studies, and library research skills. Stay tuned for resources in my TpT store!
