Conceptual Card Sort Have students use the headings on a tri-folded a piece of paper (sometimes on the copier I shrink the cards to 80% or 70% so they will fit in their INB). Then have them sort accordingly. I tell them do NOT glue until we have went over correct answers as a whole class. For my students that need a little help... at the bottom of the trifold I have them write in BEFORE the activity 1. bottom of positive......same sign (multiply and divide) 2.bottom of negative.....differ

Students sort cards in INB or on notebook paper according to their faction/decimal/percent equivalence. For example: 1/2 = .5 = 50%
