For this worksheet, you should gather the materials listed on the sheet to give to your students. I suggest splitting them into groups of 5 or less. Give each group one of each item. Give the students a few minutes to make their guesses about each item and hold off on giving them a magnet for testing their guesses until they are finished. Once they finish guessing, they can test each item and write down what they found. Students are then given the opportunity to consider what all the magnet

This activity should be used as a follow-up activity to learning about pushes and pulls (forces). It is part game, part worksheet. Break students into small teams...I'd suggest 5 or less if possible. We read the book Don't Let the Piegon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems and then used various supplies (teacher supplied) to build cars or busses within small groups. Students should be given items to choose from as a group. After a group finished, I didn't allow them to get new items or change items. They had to work with what they picked. The worksheet prov

I use this product with a lesson in which I teach about various forces and motions (inertia, motion, forces, and friction). We learned what these words mean and then did an experiment by using 3 marbles and a ruler with an indent in the middle (like a mini ramp down the center of it) and a small bathroom sized cup at the end of the ruler. One marble sits at the opposite end and two sit directly in the center of the ruler. Students must make predictions about what will happen when they flick the
