This is an 8-page poster of the Curwen/ Solfege hand signs for use in the general music or vocal music classroom. Due to the enlarging of the image, there is some pixelation, but try viewing the images from 10-20 feet away or reducing the size on your monitor. This is a bit more advanced worksheet that explains the basics of movable chord shapes and theory. Good for older or more advanced students who have done a bit with power chords and understand how the fretboard works.. This sheet has examples of a A shape chords (A major, minor, seventh and minor seventh) and explains how moving them up a fret transposes the chord up a half step. Did you know that the mandolin is an inexpensive and easy to play addition to your guitar class? Most of the same basic chords used for guitar can be easily played on mandolin with only two (or occasionally three) fingers. Mandolins are available at major music retailers for as little $50 (check musicians friend or Woodwind and Brasswind). The Rogue brand are the ones I recommend. Interjecting a little variety in your guitar class can be great for leveled learning (advanced students can pick
