Experience

From 2006 to the current time, I have taught as a Math Interventionist and a Rotation Teacher for Second and Third Grade. From 1989 to 2006 (TEAMS to TAKS years) was a Third Grade classroom. The Rotation Classes follow C-Scope and are designed to be instructional support, interactive learning, games, and fun! I have also had 5 years experience as a pre-school teacher.

Teaching style

Guided Instruction followed by interactive, hands-on activities and games. I use PowerPoints for instruction and make a lot of games (or download them from TPT).

Awards & shining teacher moments

My greatest reward is seeing kids love learning. My "shining star" moments are when I see the light of learning in their eyes. Also, seeing students go from being unmotivated learners to being excited about math and learning in general.

My own education history

BS in Math and Science from Texas Tech University. Elementary Certification from Mary Hardin Baylor. 27 years in teaching public schools plus 5 years in pre-school. I am a life-long learner.

Additional biographical information

I love my job and I love teaching and creating new products that fill a real need in the educational world.
