Krypto is a math card game that can be adapted for grades 1-12. Included here are the instructions for each level and directions for creating a deck of Krypto cards. If you are on a budget, this is a great tool for reinforcing understanding of basic facts, relationships, and properties of numbers.

This assignment involves using the web to check out prices and layouts for tiles and for big screen TV's as part of a home improvement project. It is set up for a group of 2 but can be assigned to individuals. The answers provided may need updated as they are a few years old. Students find pricing for tiles and backing boards as well as investigate tiling with tessellations. They also investigate the best size TV for a specific space.

This sheet is my list of things that I expect students to always check before turning in their work. Things like labeling, simplifying, etc. This way, students know what I expect and that they can lose points on assignments for not completing work to these specifications.

Always simplify, label, use correct notation & terminology, etc. It is a colorful page that I have my students keep in the front of their notebook so they remember that they will lose points on assignments for not following these rules.
