Experience

This is my 10th year teaching - and I love what I do! My experience includes first, second, and now sixth grade!

Teaching style

I love a buzzing, hands-and-minds-on classroom - and I'm not afraid of a little bit of chaos! I love when my students are talking and problem solving together. I use many different models of instruction -- but I like it best when my students are in charge of their learning. I work to provide the opportunity for 'ah ha!' moments. I love The Daily Five framework for literacy and Cognitively Guided Instruction for mathematics.
