Teaching style

My earliest teaching experiences were at an A+ integrated arts magnet elementary school. That means that every child received an education in creative dance, drama, music, and visual arts. The A+ Schools are founded in Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences--that all students are "smart", just that they are all smart in different ways. So, from very early on, my approach to teaching has always been through a creative, integrated, hands-on approach. I think it is the best way for our earliest learners to engage with the material!
