I used this activity for my life skills class, in a couple of different ways.
1. Stocking/organizing “shelves”- I put the headers on up on a white board that has been sectioned off so each department has their own part. Then my students can put the items under the heading where they belong.
2. I also will write out shopping list s and laminate them and when my students have some free time they
This product includes:
1- 12 page book, Who lives in a ....
1 File Folder Games/Review
3-Sentence Strips to help with verbal utterances.
Yes and No Circles (to help give verbal cues)
Small and Large Squares (used to answer questions you come up with using the animals.)
My shopping list allows for kids to make a list for up to 12 items and list the price of each product next to each item. When shopping they "check off" each item in the box once they have it...then they can add it up and come up with the subtotal...then they can figure out the tax and add it to their subtotal for their shopping total.

I have my students buy their own snack that they bring in from
home. This takes away any concerns about allergies and having food in your classroom. I printed out the task analysis on card stock paper and laminated it, so I would have a copy for any and all students who need a visual prompt.
My students have class jobs so they earn money every week for
Completing their jobs…each job has a specific “salary” that they earn and this is the money they use to buy their snack.

Print out on card stock and laminate. I put Velcro on the pieces and
then position them all on the tree. I will then pull off a picture and
put it on the white box and have my students read me the
sentence…ex. “There is squirrel in the tree.”
This activity can also be printed out and given to your students as a worksheet and they can all cut, glue and paste as you work on the prepositions. ex. "put the bird on top of the birdhouse."
This product is an 8 page rice krispy treat sushi recipe activity. I made this with the already made rice krispy treats but you will find the recipe to make the treats included if you want to go that way.
Also, included is the directions to make "training" chopsticks.
My class really enjoyed making these!
There are two different ways in which to set up and play Next Dollar up Bingo. Print out bingo cards (enough for all your students) and print out calling cards for all the amounts you will need.
First:
Have your students write any dollar amounts in the boxes (ex. $5.76) and then on the “calling cards” you would write the whole dollar amount (ex. $6.00).
Second---Opposite of choice one.
On the bingo cards you could write out the next dollar up amount (ex. $6.00) and then on the “calling cards”

Use to “sort” the equipment that is needed for each
summer activity. This is a great activity to increase
language skills and critical thinking. Can also be used as
a preposition activity (etc put the tent next to the camp
fire.)
My students love “building” their favorite summer time
activity, whether it’s the beach, the pool, par

This is pages...2 pages (that cover 25 days of work) to allow your students to sign into their work and sign out.
They then have to total their hours worked, they sign it then their "supervisor" signs it when it's checked.
It's a great way for students to keep track of their work experience in class and to get used to "punching" in and out of work.
Students can hold onto their own sign in sheets in a folder or you can put them into one binder and let them line up to "punch" in and out.

Directions:
Laminate the recycling bins and the recycling items and cut apart.
Put Velcro on the back of each “recycling” item and on the bin it would be recycled into and then your students can match the item to the bin. This can also be used without Velcro to make it easier to manipulate. This can also be printed out and used as a worksheet.
