About the store
I have 17 years experience in the middle school mathematics classroom. In 2015, I became a District Interventionist and Gifted and Talented Coordinator. In 2020 and 2021, I was also a Virtual Academy Coordinator. I later added the responsibilities of Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator, Building Assessment Co-Coordinator, and Extended School Services Coordinator. In July of 2024, after 27 years in the school system, I officially retired. Retirement for me is not the end of my teaching journey, but just a chapter closed. I choose now to focus on my next chapter as an educator: providing content that supports student learning and teacher efficacy.

Adding Integers Two Ways - Hands On Activity
Activity: "Adding Integers Two Ways - Teaching Pairs" Objective: To reinforce understanding of number line addition and integer chip addition by learning one method in a small group and then teaching it to a partner. All manipulatives are included and can be printed on card stock and easily cut out. Number lines sheet is included and can be put in a protective sleeve and students can use a dry erase marker.

This Vehicle Design and Purchase activity allows students to experience the simple interest formula with an engaging real-world application. Candy Probability
This versatile lesson allows you to use any multi-colored candy pieces (in case of allergies to peanuts or sales at the store) to calculate theoretical and experimental probability. Students complete data tables, calculate fractions, decimals, and percents and write about their findings. There is also an extension piece that requires students display data in circle graphs and compare them with others.

Decimal Banking Activities
Each student uses the bank register provided with a starting balance to keep track of their bank account. The students draw strips out of a basket that describe different situations requiring them to either add or subtract the money amounts. I have them draw one situation strip, calculate it by hand in their register, return it to basket, draw again and repeat. After a few are complete, students can self-check or partner-check. Teaching style
As an educational Coordinator and Interventionist, I wore many hats in my dynamic role. I worked with a diverse student population, each with their unique set of challenges, and I find great satisfaction in helping them overcome adversity. It was not just about being an interventionist; it was about being a source of support and empowerment. I've seen students from all walks of life experience success, and it's a privilege to know that I've played a part in their journey. Whether it's through offering guidance, fostering a welcoming environment, or providing the necessary resources, I'm dedicated to making a positive impact in their lives.

I'm a loving wife, a proud mother of a son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law starting their journey together, and a dedicated dog mom. When I'm not working on a project, you'll often find me enjoying quality time out and about with my family or cuddling on the couch with my Ruppie-girl. You may also spot me at a local 5k, mostly walking, but improving my time with every race.
