Green Eggs Writing Templates

This is a great, creative writing template to follow-up reading Dr. Seuss' book "Green Eggs and Ham". It incorporates writing skills, rhyming, fine motor skills and turns into an adorable Bulletin Board idea for March. Students will think it is really fun to write on "eggs" and will even forget that they are learning! Product includes both color and black and white templates to print and full step-by-step instructions for the teacher. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

A way too cute craft! Students get to turn themselves into Leprechauns that are wearing a hat and have a beard. These are great to wear for a St. Patty Day celebration or any other day in March. Get your class together with their “new looks” to create pictures for a bulletin board or to put a class picture in their Memory Books for the end of the school year! Students love making and wearing them all day and probably would bring them back to wear the next day too if they could! Make your class

Valentine Rhyme Game

A great game to play during a Valentine party, during Centers or any other time in February. It can be used individually, in small groups or if you print extra copies, could be used as a large group instruction activity. It follows the CC standards by focusing on rhyming words. It also is great for practice with social skills (taking turns, follow directions, sharing). The product also has a section that includes ways to change this game to make it into a variety of new game ideas so that you ca

This product comes in black and white/color (red). It is a great way to get students excited about writing. I love to use in during February. The students use the letters "H,E,A,R,T" to begin each sentence. You could have them use the beginning letter to tell 5 things that they love or have them use the letters to start the beginning of a phrase/sentence to write about February. Great to glue on red construction paper when done, cut out paper in a heart shape too and hang in the hall, bulletin b

This is another creative writing activity pulled from a monthly series set (will be available soon) that I have used in my classroom for years. This particular writing activity can be modified to use in most of the primary grade levels. It encompasses basic writing skills, fine motor skills and acrostic poetry while also incorporating a fun and educational craft. What I like the best is how easy it is to differentiate the difficulty of this lesson which makes it perfect for all levels of learner

I thought some people may need a clipart image of a groundhog for next week and I made this one a few years ago. This product contains an image of a cute "cartoon-style" groundhog all curled up and sleeping. Both color and black and white images are included. I used him in the past to create worksheets and booklets for my Kindergartners.

February Heart Writing Activity

This activity is great with all primary grade levels and can be adjusted to suit the needs of individual students. I use the activity to discuss acrostic poems using the word "LOVE". We take this time to discuss February and what we love about this month. It would also be great to use as "Morning Work" for older students or as a monthly writing prompt. Students can cut out their writing activity after completing it and transfer to red or pink construction paper cut out also in a heart shape and

Teaching style

Creative, hands-on, fun, effective and educational learning atmosphere is very important to me! Students learn best when they are doing something new and interesting. Make every day a special one! Caring and nurturing, but believes in a strong classroom management plan. With structure and clear rules any student can "behave" and be respectful. Emphasizes students showing respect and manners in and out of the classroom.

Additional biographical information

I come from a looong line of teachers in my family and I am proud to keep that tradition going. Being able to help others and use my creativity in an occupation was always a goal of mine and being an educator allows me to do both of these things and so much more. In my "personal life", I am married to a wonderful man and I am the proud mommy of two beautiful girls. I joined this website to share ideas and to help bring in some extra money for my husband's recent kidney transplant. I hope everyone can get use out of my products! *On a side note ... if anyone ever needs any Clipart created, my hubby and I are fairly artistic and can and will draw almost anything that you may be in need of for an activity. I have not posted any for sale yet because I have so much, but let me know if/what you would be interested in :D
