Meant for Spanish 1, this is a great menu reading activity that has students match descriptions of foods and then answer comprehension questions in English and Spanish. There are also two higher level opinion questions included to have students express their opinions. I made this worksheet with Asi Se Dice chapter 4 vocabulary in mind, but it can be used effectively with any curriculum.

This speaking activity is an easy way to scaffold students using the target language. After you have already introduced the verb tener as well as vocab about the family, use this activity to have them practice both. Students will ask their classmates questions and once they have completed that, there is a follow up writing extension activity so they can practice writing sentences using tener in the s/he form. This Google Sheet does the math for you as you check your students's weekly homework completion. Students type in the correct conjugation of each verb to reveal a pixel art picture of Frida Kahlo. This activity was made to accompany ¡Avancemos! 1 unit 2.1, but can be used with any Spanish curriculum covering regular present tense verb conjugation.  Verbs included in the activity: contestar, llegar, tomar, usar, necesitar, sacar, and enseñar. Review game comes with 5 puzzles and answers that have usage of the imperfect tense in Spanish. This game takes a whole 45 min bell. I made this food chat mat for Spanish class to talk about what students eat in a day. They can talk about breakfast, lunch, dinner, and their snacks. The questions allow them to talk about likes and dislikes and reasons for each. They can also talk about favorite foods. This is an interactive google slides presentation that helps students to practice location words in Spanish (for ex - cerca de, dentro de) along with school supplies vocabulary. I originally created this resource to go along with the Avancemos curriculum, but have continued to use it with the Así se Dice textbook series with no problems.  This activity usually takes students about 20-25 minutes to complete and they often find it very fun and interactive. Additionally, it is quick to grade just b
