Story of Pele, goddess of fire from Hawaii. Students then create a storyboard to tell the story of Pele. Includes story, steps, and rubric.

Students evaluate power expressions and based on the answer color the picture one of two colors. The final product will result in students creating a sign stating 100. Students use the Power of a Product Property, Product of a Power Property, Zero Power, and Quotient Property of a Power. Bases include both positive and negative integers.

Students are presented with problems in which two people have done the problem. One was done correctly and the other was not. The students have to state which person did the problem correctly and what was wrong.

To help my students be organized, I use this cover sheet with each chapter/unit I teach. The students write down all the assignments (notes, homework, labs, classwork, projects, etc.) that go into the unit and should be in their binder. The parents love this since they can see automatically what their kids have been studying, what we have been doing, and that I'm teaching a way to be organized. This helps them stay organized. This allows students to plan their own STEM or STEAM challenge for their classmates to do. It walks them through the process from choosing a topic they studied to whether they should allow trials. They will connect their problem to outside sources or subjects, create a solution, compare their peers’ solution, and analyze the results.
