This fluency worksheet is kept by students to keep track of their progress as they time themselves. It includes a space for the following: Name; Date; Fluency Passage Title; a table for their progress; and a section to indicate challenging of difficult words.

The four part constructed response organizer is a tool i have used over the years to help students organize their math approach/plan. The organizer is used to solve multiple step word problems. Included is a student/teacher rubric.
The 60 Second Sweep is a way to show mastery of the multiplication facts between 2 and 9. It is so important that students have strong multiplication skills, that students in all math classes must complete the 60 Second Sweep as part of their multiplication qualifications (for which students receive a grade). We go over this the first day and recite it daily in class for the first week.

Explicit teaching instruction is utilized to help students acquire information and skills I teach explicitly the standard after a pre-assessment task. Then spend 3-5 days on the standard with explicit lesson. Finally, I administer a post-assessment math task to conclude with the standard. Skill: Stamina Objective: Students will focus on the time they stay on task. Staying on task during their reading independent time is called stamina. Students can use the chart to track how many minutes they can read for. Students can set daily reading minute goals. As they set their goals, Student can chart their progress.
