This PowerPoint Presentation is shown to parents on Back to School Night. The ppt. has built in hyperlinks that take student to their desired pages and the links take them back to their homepage.

The 60 Second Sweep is a way to show mastery of the multiplication facts between 2 and 9. It is so important that students have strong multiplication skills, that students in all math classes must complete the 60 Second Sweep as part of their multiplication qualifications (for which students receive a grade). We go over this the first day and recite it daily in class for the first week.
Students solve and explain perimeter and area problems. Perimeter and area each have a parallelogram problem. students will then use their knowledge to solve and explain one parallelogram perimeter and area problem.
The file contains over 10 portfolio covers sheets for different subjects and activities.
The cover sheets are interactive. They allow students to write why they chose and what they learned from that particular lesson/activity.
The goal of this summative assessment is to evaluate 4.MD.3 (CCSS) student learning at the end of instruction for the standard. Students are given a floor plan and using their knowledge of perimeter, they can solve the assessment with various math strategies/plans.
