This lesson is used to evaluate student's knowledge and skill level. The file includes: Four - Part Constructed Response worksheet, four point rubric, and two word problems.

Using their own words, Students explain how to add and subtract mixed numbers. The file also has the following: -A vocabulary word list is provided. -Writing prompt -Extra credit section

Over the years I have found it difficult to keep everyone involved during group and Think-Pair-Share discussions. This worksheet has been over the years to eliminate inappropriate/off topic discussions. The worksheet is completed and collected on a weekly basis or when needed.

The four part constructed response organizer is a tool i have used over the years to help students organize their math approach/plan. The organizer is used to solve multiple step word problems. Included is a student/teacher rubric.

The worksheets are designed to test your students' surface area knowledge. Students explain step-by-step, using the vocabulary words provided, how to solve each problem.

Here is another fun game that my 5th graders have enjoyed over the years. If your students are having difficulties adding integers try this fun interactive game. They can use scratch paper to to their work (charge particle models). Enjoy!!

This PowerPoint Presentation is shown to parents on Back to School Night. The ppt. has built in hyperlinks that take student to their desired pages and the links take them back to their homepage. Students with help from teacher can scan student work and drop it into their electronic portfolio. The Electronic Portfolio includes the following slides: Reading, writing, math, social studies or science, my strengths, goals, and star results

The 60 Second Sweep is a way to show mastery of the multiplication facts between 2 and 9. It is so important that students have strong multiplication skills, that students in all math classes must complete the 60 Second Sweep as part of their multiplication qualifications (for which students receive a grade). We go over this the first day and recite it daily in class for the first week.

This file contains a surface area pop quiz. Students are to draw a net of prism shown. Then, they are to find its surface area. The file also has a rubric and a parent signature section. It is quick and direct. This is a five minute pop quiz. The file is to be cut/split down the middle and you have two quizzes.

The goal of the game is to make the largest number. The file includes individual board games, spinners and instructions.

Pre-Algebra Notebook Cover and Progress Card Notebook Cover and Progress Card are inserted in each student's clear overlay front and back (Progress Card). This rubric is for the audience to actively grade their peers as they see their peers present mathematic projects. The rubric contains the following subgroups: -Eye Contact & Posture (100 pts.) -Entusiasm & Pronunciation (100 pts.) -Organization & Subject Knowledge (100 its.) The students may also include one wish and one like of the presentation. The file also comes in color and in black & white.

This math log is similar to a reading log, but its intention to keep track of student classwork and homework.

The file contains two pop quizzes with an answer key. Pop Quizzes are designed to be short and quick (5 - 10 minutes, max).

The file contains over 10 portfolio covers sheets for different subjects and activities. The cover sheets are interactive. They allow students to write why they chose and what they learned from that particular lesson/activity.

The factor is game that students can play independently. It requires knowledge of factors and critical thinking skills to strategically win.
