I have teamed up with "Little Red Parker" to create student pages to complete Eureka Application Problems. Our school uses this math program and we found that having students use white boards to complete the application problems was rather tricky in first grade! These cards were designed for classroom flashcard center/game use! Cards go from ways of making 5-10. Cards feature missing parts and missing wholes to allow students great practice! My students love practicing with these cards– I’m sure yours will too!

These proficiency scales are meant for students and teachers to use together. In my classroom each student has a set of them inside of a pronged folder. As they begin meeting pieces of the standard I will date the boxes that goes with each "I can" statement under each standard. When they meet it multiple times they will color that "I can" statement which shows they have demonstrated grade level understanding. This Marshmallow Popper is an exciting project to do for math that allows the kids to create a tool to measure with. They will create their popper and pop a marshmallow out of their cup. They will then use standard and non-standard units of measurement to measure the distance! It is a hit with my kids!
