I also cut out each student's individual schedule to tape to their desk (younger students) or in their planner (older students that move classrooms). Have students take responsibility for their forgotten assignments. Make copies of the first sheet to keep in a binder (hopefully it won't be too full by the end of the year!). Students fill out a line for each missing assignment. They also take a half sheet to fill out to bring home with them. I use this when a student's behavior consistently does not allow them to be with their peers. I use this to document the amount of time they are away from their peers.
