About the store
I taught 3 years at the middle school level (6-8) along with an enrichment class. I decided to resign and stay at home with our three kids when we had our third little (8, 6 and 3 1/2 years old). During the three years of teaching, our math department went through big changes and we created a whole new curriculum based on the CCSS for all three grades. It was a challenging and rewarding experience! Through the experience, we did not adopt books, but found amazing resources on TpT and created our resources which I look forward to sharing with you! Being able to stay at home with my kiddos, create fun, interactive and adaptable resources for your classroom along with making an income is something I am excited to begin on this new journey!

Multiplying Scientific Notation Partner Activity

A great tool for students to work together and make sure they are understanding how to multiply scientific notation problems. This activity has two suggested option directions. (1) Partner students up and then each student gets a set of 10 problems. They each work through problems alone and then at the end either check answers or switch sets and work through the other set of 10 problems (collecting answer keys or hiding them until they have the second set complete). Teaching style

I enjoy a more interactive approach; station work, task cards, partner work, group work and anyway I can get my students moving and learning. I also enjoy using technology whenever I can add it to my lessons.

Awards & shining teacher moments

When watching my students grasp a concept they have struggled with and to see a smile on their face with that feeling of accomplishment - priceless. Makes all the hard times worth every bit of that!

My own education history

*Earned my BS in 2007 from Indiana University Bloomington in Health Education. *In 2009 I added my Middle School Math Endorsement from Indiana University in South Bend. *Earned my Masters of Arts Mathematics Education (5-9) through Westerns Governors University in 2018.
