Each page has a word problem that asks students to decompose numbers 4 through 10 by drawing 3 different combinations of dots on lady bug wings, that make the numbers 4 through 10. It also asks students to write the number sentence (equation) that matches what they have drawn on the lady bug's wings. The lady bug theme makes this a great activity to do with your insect unit, or anytime in the Spring.
