Art Social Change & Advocacy Project
Art Social Change & Advocacy Project:
Students read short explanations and facts about eight different world issues. They may research these (and others of their choice) more extensively, if desired. Students choose an issue they care about, and create an art poster that persuades others to create social change. Their artwork will creatively advocate for their cause, as well as inspire and educate others.

I have taught various grades for 14 years! I am currently a Gifted and Talented Education Specialist - a position I've enjoyed for 6 years now.
Teaching style
I LOVE challenging my students in new and unique ways! My GATE units allow students to progressively develop skills, ideas, and concepts as we focus on Engineering, Science, and Social Studies. Both the Cognitive Domain (creative & critical thinking, problem solving, communication skills) and Affective Domain (leadership, risk-taking, responsibility) are developed.

Besides teaching, my husband and five "furbabies" are my loves! I enjoy traveling, eating delicious food at new restaurants, and reading!!
