Lessons are the heart of a program. Without a strong lesson, the program has no face in which to show off the theory.
The following are overviews of a collection of lessons that have been taught in the Environmental Design program at the high school level, grades 9-12. The lessons are listed in chronological order from the beginning of the year to the end. These lessons are taken from our introductory classes and our advanced studio course.

The file is intended to scope & sequence a detailed successful approach to integrate the two disciplines. As such, it is important to acknowledge and recognize opportunities for further integration and collaboration throughout other disciplines within the high school. Various instructors were assembled to review and propose learning opportunities associated with Environmental Design.
Implementing design ideas is an exciting venture for any designer. For students to experience their design ideas coming to life with implementation, is a motivating factor for them. Whenever possible, real world problems should be introduced in to the curriculum. On occasion we have had outside sources contact us to come up with design ideas for specific problems. We have also developed our own design problems and sought out a recipient who would benefit from the students solutions.
