Hi! I am an inner city dance, drama, English and psychology teacher who has also taught french, a little phys ed, some special education movement classes and whatever else they throw at me.
This scavenger hunt introduces students to key concepts in social psychology—like conformity, obedience, group dynamics, and more—through a mission-style decoding challenge. Students read, hunt for evidence, identify code words, and solve a mystery word at the end.
This scavenger hunt gets your students up and moving as they try to find the secret word and crack the code while exploring some of the more unique disorders in psychology. It's also an easy activity to leave for a substitute as it can be run with little to no prep and no prior knowledge is required. Simply cut the clue cards in half and spread them randomly around, give the students their answer sheet, and off they go to crack the code.
This scavenger hunt is a fun, low-prep, high-engagement way for students to review key psychology concepts and terminology. Students work independently or in pairs to answer questions that lead them in a continuous loop from one card to another—if they do it right, they’ll end where they started! This can also easily be run by a substitute
To coincide with a unit on stress/mental health students can create their own subscription box. Currently designed so that students do not have to include actual items, which allows it to be completed digitally.

Teaching style
Do what works!!
I am a little crazy and silly, pretty good at embarrassing myself in front of my students and the first to make fun of myself.
I think it can easily said that I'm pretty laid back overall in my style and like a mix of directed teaching and providing my student with the opportunity to get creative!
My own education history
