In this project, students work in groups of 3 or more to write and illustrate a fiction book! I have used this packet to guide primary students through the process of working together, problem-solving, writing, editing, illustrating, and even creating a dedication page! I have also used this with Scholastic's Kids Are Authors writing contest (http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/contest/kaa_about.asp)! This creates an authentic audience for the students. They get so excited to enter their book.
