Great way to review and teach the different parts that students may encounter in a dictionary.

This report template guides students through the process of thinking about Dr. Seuss's Life in sequence, accomplishes, challenges, cause and effect and Time line. In addition, students will have to answer specific question. There is also a Venn Diagram where students can either compare and contrast Dr. Seuss with someone else or compare and contrast two different articles about Dr. Seuss (that is what my students did). On the next page students identified all the text features with an example

This graphic organizer is used to help students focus their research and take notes. After students finish with their notes they can easily transform the information from their graphic organizer into a 5 paragraph paper.

I used this booklet in my classroom when the students were learning about the five food groups. Students searched in the grocery weekly ads for different types of food to put in the flip book for each food group. It was amazing to see their excitement about using an actual weekly add and trying to figure out the different food groups they see on the daily basis.

Students will work on describing the oobleck with words and an illustrations. In addition students will write fact and opinions about the oobleck. Also, they will write how they would use oobleck in their lives.

This is another strategy for teaching students how to round. They can follow some simple steps and I have created a song that will help students remember the steps. I also included an example of how to do the steps. *I created a story to help students better understand and remember what to do.
