Inuit Tribe Readers' Theater

This is a 16-part readers' theater script about the Inuit Native American tribe. My second grade class turned our classroom into an Inuit village and performed this readers' theater for parents and other classes in our school. It touches on the different roles that the Inuits had to fill.

Customer and Cashier Role Play Activity

I used this activity during my Newcomer English unit on numbers and money. I brought in the various objects pictured, distributed money manipulatives, and assigned the students a partner. The students traveled around the classroom to different stations and took turns taking on each role and making the appropriate amounts of change. In addition to practicing money vocabulary, the students also got to practice some basic phrases and expressions.
