Prepare your students to take the standardized reading test. It bothers teachers to teach to the test. I say don’t do that, but our evaluations depend upon us teaching students how their reading will be tested on a standardized test. I have developed this strategy and as a reading coach have worked with my teachers and their students to implement it successfully wi

So you have a reading coach but never really know what to ask about or how to best use them? Here's a list of possible professional growth topics or questions you might be wondering about (now that I mention it). Print this list out and play Stump the Coach! Well not really. But it's a good little list to have in place for your own professional growth when enlisting the help of a coaching professonal in the elementary school. Enjoy.
As a reading coach I get asked for this basic guided reading lesson planning form quite a bit. It's goof proof. The only thing you have to do well is match the students reading levels to the guided reading book selection. All I ask is that if you like this you take a look at the other items I'm selling. I don't mind giving things away, but it would be nice to make a little money on a few items. Every child deserves a great teacher. Enjoy!
