Great activity for Newton's Third Law. Just a quick and easy lab sheet for the classic balloon rocket lab for 8th grade physical science but also appropriate for high school physics and conceptual physics or for 5th-7th graders that have more than one class period. Includes materials needed, procedure and some questions for students to answer. I put two of these to a page so that paper can be saved. Just a simple lab - but one of the year's favorites!!

Family Pedigree Project

This project is really fun for students in their first study of genetics. Using the guidelines and a survey data table, students make a pedigree of their family traits. I made this for 7th grade life science but it would also be okay for grades 6th-10th graders in their first study of genetics. It is a three page document which includes a data table for the survey and a letter home to the parents explaining the project.

The Eggcellent Eggspriment - A Project on Osmosis

This is my version of the classic experiment of osmosis using an egg. Perfect for beginning biology. In a format you can send home with the students - modifications easily possible since it's a word document. It takes the students about 2 weeks to do this project at home using tap water, vinegar, and 2 liquids of their choice. Rubric Included for easy grading. The students love this project.
