I have been teaching JH math in Texas for 19 years, and I still LOVE it! Many people think I am crazy, but I cannot imagine doing anything else. I have found my true calling!!!
This file contains an editable Powerpoint Jeopardy style game, complete with an interactive scoreboard, 2 double value questions, one Final question, ALL 26 solution slides for class discussion during a 7th grade STAAR, or other state, test review. Once my students used this method to review, they were spoiled! The best part was that they were reviewing without even being aware they were! Win - Win for all!

Looking for a new way to assess mastery of a concept? Why not try a maze?
Students will start the activity at the "START" arrow and continue through the maze until they reach the “END” space multiplying polynomials the entire way!
I have included a color copy (if you would prefer to laminate them to use in future years as an in class activity), and a white copy that could be used as homework. Plus the solution key.
My students always look forward to activities. If yours do too, you might

When spring is in the air, I cannot help but think about BASEBALL!!! However, we still have several months of school remaining. So why not combine the two?
This file contains 2 baseball themed quadratic equations worksheets. The first one requires students to test for factorability of quadratic equations by using the discriminant. The second requires students to use the quadratic formula to solve quadratic equations. And as always, I have included both solution keys.

Solving equations is a skill that has to be mastered for students to perform basic algebraic operations in later years. While it seems so logical to me, my students often struggled with what steps are to be taken first (+, -, x, ÷), even though it is just order of operations…in reverse.
A few years ago, I started using “Equation Estates” to teach this, and the confusion no longer exists. We even had a little fun along the way! I teach JH, and they can TOTALLY relate to this set up!

This file contains 34 cards that "I have, who has" cards that are to be distributed to students. Hopefully 34 is more than you will need during any one class! It is a looping set, meaning that the last solution "answers" the first card. This version is addition and subtraction of integers only. This is a great way to review before moving on to multiplication and dvision of integers. Enjoy!

My students ALWAYS cringe when they hear me say the word “fractions”. But that is not necessary if they can learn to use a 12 x 12 or 15 x 15 multiplication chart to work “Magic”.
In this zipped file you will get a complete lesson for simplifying fractions (one lesson that is in a complete bundle I have listed for sale) by using a completed multiplication chart. It includes the following:
• 12 x 12 multiplication chart for students to complete (and key). • 15 x 15 multiplication chart for s
This file contains an editable PowerPoint Bingo game, a reproducable blank Bingo card to be printed for each student, and the solution to the game. This game reviews basic understanding of integer rules. Problems in the file include all four operations, as well as four real world applications that must be set up then evaluated. This is a great way to review at the end of an integer unit, or before state testing.

This file contains a set of 60 matching cards (30 expressions and 30 solutions) that review multiplication and division of integers. Each sheet has 6 expression cards, followed by the corresponding solution cards. You may choose to make multiple sets and have groups work with all 60 at once. Or, you can prepare fewer sets, and place 1 to 2 sheets worth of cards at stations and have students rotate. I have also included a worksheet for students to document their work, as well as a solution
