I firmly believe that there's more to grading than just correct or incorrect answers. What if a student shows all their work? Shouldn't they get credit? What is they participate throughout your lesson? Shouldn't they get credit with that too? After 30 years in this amazing career I firmly believe this is the correct way to assess students in a fair manner, while still showing how they're progressing in math.

I firmly believe/support choice with students. This allows(and can be adapted) students to choose items during math that they need extra practice on. I've used these menus for two years now and love them.

This is a 10 problem review quiz of adding fractions. It's a basic quiz, but a great way to start introducing an adding fractions unit. It can also be used to reinforce skills with students who may be struggling with the basic knowledge of fractions. There is an answer key included. :)

This is my fourth review with adding fractions with like denominators. Students need to be able to show simplifying and converting improper fractions to mixed numbers. The difficulty level has increased, but it will give you and your students an excellent spot review on fractions. I believe that these 10 question quizzes will provide an excellent snapshot on student skills.

This is an upper level challenge in math. Students love to apply the skills they learn outside in real life.

This is my third quick quiz for fractions. It's a great way for you, and your students to review and check to see if they understand these basics. The first two I've produced build upon this third quiz. It's quick, easy, and gives a good impression for understanding of fractions. An answer key is also included.
