Objective: The student will identify everyday objects as solid, liquid, or gas.

As seen from the preview, this document has before reading activities which build background knowledge and showcase vocabulary within the each chapter. The during reading section asks students to ask questions while reading. You will notice that it says different things in the during reading section such as read on your own or popcorn read. This allows the students to work freely without teacher direction while the teacher is available to work with other students. The after reading sections

10 Context Clue Worksheets. The first three are used for modeling while the last 7 would be good for assessment of the skill and independent work.
The first three worksheets have a blank. The teacher would model how to highlight clue words and provide evidence for a written response. The last seven worksheets provide a word in which students have to use context clues to gather the meaning.

The student will describe the changes in the physical properties of water when frozen or melted.
