This is a great power point that I use with my whole class. There are plenty of examples to practice rounding decimals and word problems too. There is room on the slides to create and write the steps with your students. The sum it up is a group activity which requires students to use menus to place mock orders for take out. They can estimate the amount they spend and then calculate the actual. I get the take out menus from local restaurants. They love this activity!! Common Core Aligned:

Here is a fantastic power point lesson on finding percent of a number. Students will find percent of a number using fractions and decimals. Steps are provided and answers fly in for practice problems. I have also included some cheering sounds to be played when students have successfully completed the practice. This chart is great and can be displayed on your white board or smart board. I usually print out a copy of the slide for the students to write on so they can keep it as part of their notes.
