This is great power point to use with your class. It focuses on how to change an improper fraction to a mixed number and a mixed number into an improper fraction. There are guided examples and practice problems for students to complete independently while you circulate the room to check for understanding. I have also included sound buttons to enhance this lesson. My students love when I put on sound or music during power point presentations. During practice I leave the music on low while th

During the power point there is the opportunity to find out if proportions are equivalent by using cross products. Steps and extra examples are included. All my power points are common core aligned. I usually solve the first few with the class and then ask the students to solve the rest with their partner during pair share. The sum it up, asks students to create their own unit rate problems. All my power points are common core aligned. Check out my other Power Point Presentation! Follow my shop! Check out m

This power point could be used before the state assessments, for AIS classes, test prep, or practice at the end of your unit. It can be used with a whole class or by individual students. The answers fly in with just a click. All of my items are common core aligned. Check out my o

This power point explores the concept of how we add fractions with unlike denominators. The power point asks students to compare blood types with different denominators. Students love talking about the different blood types-nice connection to science class. When asked how we can compare these results accurately students should come up with finding a common denominator. Then with the class you can change each fraction to an equivalent reviewing the process. Word problems, a section of practice,

When I create power points or flip charts I intend on writing on them and completing problems and notes together with my class. All of my products are used in my classroom before I post them on TpT.
