Mental Math Warm-ups 6th Grade
A few years ago I started adding a few mental math questions to the end of my student’s warm-ups. I couldn't believe how much my students loved trying to solve these mental math problems. They wanted mental math problems every day. So I developed this Mental Math Warm-up collection for my 6th grade class. It is now common practice in my classroom and one of my students favorite activities.

Divisibility Rules!!! I just finished teaching the divisibility rules. My students needed some more practice so I created these worksheets. They are aligned with the Common Core Curriculum 6.NS.4

Percent Turkey
My students love creating this percent turkey every year. Its a great activity after you teach finding 10% of a number. Students can practice their mental math skills and enjoy decorating the turkey. Teaching style
I love teaching! I use a variety of teaching styles in my classroom including direct instruction, guided instruction, exploration lessons, partnering, cooperative group work, neighbor checks, pair shares, carousel activities, stations, centers, and project based learning. When I create power points or flip charts I intend on writing on them and completing problems and notes together with my class. All of my products are used in my classroom before I post them on TpT.
