I love using gallery walks as a way to get students out of their seats and moving! All you have to do is hang the stations along the wall in your classroom. In a gallery walk, students walk to each of the 10 stations and write down notes as they go. In this gallery walk, students will make inferences about the connections between numbers written in scientific notation and standard form. Teaching style
It is always my goal to get students out of their seats during the class period. I love to allow my students to discover new concepts and then follow up the investigation with a mini-lesson. I am a teacher at an EL Learning school and I am always looking for real world applications of math to apply to our units of study.
