This power point takes you through teaching the kids how to do GCF and LCM word problems. The first few slides are just based on pictures and problenms so the kids make actual groups of things so they grasp the concept of what is happening before you teach them the process of doing GCF and LCM. I have also included a slide of key words.

This is a great real life activity to help students understand the application of Unit Rate. Students can look at real products in different sizes and determine what the better purchase is. This is quick little project I assign the kids. You can also use it in the classroom. Students are required to pick a product in two different sizes and calcuate the unit rate. Once they do that, they write a summary of what they have learned.
