Includes Rotations, Reflections, Dilations and Translations. This would be a great review sheet to use at the beginning of class or for homework. It emphasizes transforming figures by applying the rules instead of graphing. You can adapt the directions to meet the needs of your classroom. Answers included.
This activity includes 22 Order of Operations problems, with two of each answer from 0 to 10. Students can self-check by ensuring that they have two of each type of answer. Included are problems that address common student misconceptions, operations with negatives and squaring both positive and negative numbers. Could be used as a homework assignment, in class activity or an assessment. Appropriate for individual or group work. Should be done without a calculator.

This is designed to be used as a formative assessment for students after they've learned elimination. The answers are included. I use it as a check-in in class to provide feedback, but it could be given as homework or as a quiz.
I've always found rotations to be a difficult concept to teach. This discovery allows students to examine rotations that have already been made in order to develop the rules for rotating. Answers included. When you print copies for students, make sure that they get a copy of the image page with the coordinate grid. It would be helpful to give this to them un-stapled to the discovery so they don't have to flip back and forth.

This activity allows students to independently discover how to translate a figure on the coordinate plane. This can be used as part of a lesson on transformations during an in class discovery or could be given as homework (could be use with a 'flipped' classroom approach). Answers included.
This is great for using as a graded check-in or exit slip after learning how to add, subtract, multiply and divide radicals but prior to a quiz or a test. It is intended to give students feedback. This could also be used as an assessment.
Save $1 with this bundle! Includes 4 different formative assessments on solving systems of linear equations. Included: graphing & substitution, substitution only, elimination only and all 3 methods. Answers included. You can use this as a graded check-in/exit slip, a quiz or a homework assignment. You can quickly grade and return to students with feedback.
Use this as an in-class review assignment or a homework assignment prior to a quiz on solve systems of linear equations using graphing and substitution. You could also make this a quiz. (Contains 3 graphing problems and 4 substitution problems).
This activity is great for practicing simplifying variable expressions. All problems include the variables of m, a, t and h (you may want to point out to students that the 't' has a slight curl at the bottom compared to an addition symbol). To go further with this activity, you can then have students create and simplify similar problems involving the letters of their name, the name of your school, their favorite color/sports team/musical artist, etc...
This worksheet contains 4 substitution problems - students must solve and check. I use it as a check in/exit slip the day after I teach substitution, but it could be used as a homework assignment, review assignment or a quiz. Answers included.
This is a practice activity that pulls together the 3 methods for solving a system of linear equations (graphing, substitution and elimination). Worked out solutions included. Could be used as an in class activity, a mini assessment or homework.
This is the perfect assignment to use after first introducing the Order of Operations. Includes problems where students make mistakes by breaking the Order of Operations. Some of these problems could lead to good discussions about common wrong answers the next day in class. Great opportunity to use the document camera to display student work.
No calculator! Answers included.
This activity would work well with either substitution or elimination. You could give students a choice of which method they use or you could be specific as to which method you’d like them to practice. FYI – students will sometimes be substituting equations with fractions. Since students know what the five possible answers are, they can be even more confident that they have the correct answer.
I used this after teaching graphing and substitution as a check-in to provide students with feedback on how they're doing so far with systems. This could also be used as a homework assignment or short quiz. Answers included.
